Obesity Canada is pleased to offer up to eight travel awards to students (undergraduate, masters and PhD students) who have an obesity-related abstract accepted for presentation at the conference.
The purpose of the Student Travel Award is to help students travel to the Canadian Obesity Summit in Ottawa, ON, April 23-26, 2019. This program does not support travel expenses for lab exchange travel.
Approximately eight students will receive up to $500 Canadian dollars each to support their travel to the conference.

Application process:

1. A jury composed of representatives from Obesity Canada will examine all applicants for eligibility.
2. Applicants must complete all sections of this Google Form and submit the following materials via email:
a) 1-page maximum typed over letter describing your interest in obesity and how attending the conference will benefit
your work.
b) 2-page maximum Curriculum Vitae including scientific publications and presentations (the Curriculum Vitae may
contain only highlights and may not be a complete version).
c) 1-page maximum reference letter from your supervisor.
d) An email or screenshot of your abstract acceptance letter.

3. Applications will be accepted until 11:59pm MST, March 15, 2019.
4. Travel expenses will be reimbursed upon completion of the conference.
