Next month, the subject of our “Ask the Expert” will be our dedicated and passionate patient advocates of the Obesity Canada Public Engagement Committee (PEC). These individuals all have their own lived experience with obesity and work to advise Obesity Canada and provide patient perspectives to all our activities. They are also trained advocates, experienced in speaking up for themselves and for all Canadians living with obesity.
The PEC helps to train health care practitioners, industry and to raise awareness with policy makers. This is your opportunity to ask our patient experts about their experience, what has worked for them, what it is like to be an advocate, or how you can get involved.
