That’s not a real healthcare journal – and it’s pretty obvious just how out of touch those headlines are.

Can you imagine if Canada’s healthcare policies were based on shaming and blaming people with chronic diseases like diabetes, arthritis and cancer and others, and refusing to provide access to meaningful treatments?

That’s not hard for people living with obesity to imagine – they live it every day, at work, in school, at home, in the media and even from within the healthcare system.

We’re working to change that, through professional education, policy development, advocacy and research.

How can you help?

  • Sign up for our newsletters (either for the public or for professionals) to stay in the loop on what Obesity Canada and its partners are doing to bring about change.
  • Donate to Obesity Canada to support these efforts – we are a registered charity that generates 80% of our funding from personal and corporate donations. Gifts of $25 or more receive a tax receipt.

Together, we can create a future where Canada’s healthcare systems #TreatObesityFairly
