Q. Where is the Canadian Obesity Summit being held?

A. The 2023 Canadian Obesity Summit will be held in Whistler, BC at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler.

A. The COS is a unique interdisciplinary conference showcasing cutting-edge research as well as dedicated tracts for health practitioners. We look forward to welcoming health professionals from all disciplines, researchers, policy makers, and industries related to obesity prevention and management.

A. With a multidisciplinary focus, the Summit will cover a range of topics, including:

  • Prevention and public health
  • Treatment and management

  • Environments conducive to healthy lifestyles

Q. I’ve attended the Summit, how can I get a copy of my certificate of attendance and credits?

A. Certificates of attendance will be emailed out to each delegate to the email that you registered for the Summit.

Q. What does my COS registration fee include?

A. The full registration to the Canadian Obesity Summit includes access to all sessions, open networking events and exhibit hall for the entire 4 days.

Q. Can I get a refund for my registration for the Canadian Obesity Summit?

A.  Attendee Cancellation policy

  • Cancellations must be made in writing to the Conference Secretariat, send requests to events@obesitynetwork.ca
  • Cancellations requests received prior to January 10, 2023 will receive a full refund less a $100 administration fee. 
  • Cancellations requests received after January 10, 2023 will receive 60% refund of the COS registration fee less a $100 administration fee.
  • Substitute delegates will be accepted but must be advised in writing, send requests to events@obesitynetwork.ca

Q. What is the cancellation policy for sponsorship and exhibitors?

A. Sponsorship/ Exhibitors Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation of a sponsor/ exhibitor must be made 90 days prior to the conference to be eligible for a 50% refund.  No refund will be given for any cancellation of a sponsor/ exhibitor less than 90 days of the conference.
  • Cancellations must be made in writing to the Conference Secretariat, send requests to events@obesitynetwork.ca

Accreditation

This conference has not been formally reviewed by the CFPC or the Royal College; however it is eligible for non-certified credit. Mainpro+ participants may also earn additional certified credits by completing a Linking Learning exercise.
