This competition is designed only for CMDO students and new professionals to apply to.

Created in April 2012 by the Fond de Recherche du Quebec – Santé (FRQS), the Research Network on CardioMetabolic health, Diabetes and Obesity aims to promote research excellence, knowledge development and knowledge sharing in these areas to improve the quality of life of Quebecers

The network launches a call to Master and PhD students, Residents, Postdoctoral Fellows Young Researcher Regular Members to enter the contest – 7th Canadian Obesity Student Meeting 2020, convention to be held June 17-19, 2020 at York University, Toronto, Ontario (meeting information: https://obesitycanada.ca/snp/cosm/). The five (5) selected candidates must make an oral or poster presentation (determined by the organization of the congress).

Obesity Canada is offering free registration to the 5 winners, as well as a $500 travel grant to reimburse participants for transportation/accommodations fees. All other costs shall be covered by the participant and/or its director.

The deadline for submitting applications is January 27, 2020.

The eligibility criteria and the method of evaluation are described in the guide. Applications submitted late, incomplete or which do not meet the eligibility criteria will not be evaluated. Selected applicants will be contacted no later than February 2020.
