The Edmonton Obesity Staging System for Pediatrics (EOSS-P) is a clinical risk stratification tool that is used in the overall management of pediatric patients with obesity. It falls under the Assess ‘A’ of the 5 As of Obesity Management and is aimed at assisting clinical practitioners in managing patients with obesity. This research project is focused on developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for items contained within the EOSS-P through the help and input of members of the healthcare team involved in weight management. The project is in conjunction with Dr. Stasia Hadjiyannakis and the team at the Centre for Healthy Active Living (CHAL) in Ottawa.

We are currently looking for allied health specialists – nurses, psychologists, social workers, exercise specialists, and dieticians – to help in developing these SOPs.

If you are interested or want more details please contact Matthew Feldman, PGY3 Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario in Ottawa, at mfeldman@cheo.on.ca.

We look forward to hearing from you.
