Opportunity for Trainees at COS 2019: Breakfast and Networking

Are you attending the Obesity Canada Summit in April?

Do you like breakfast?

Interested in engaging in a career development networking opportunity?

If you answered yes to those questions then look no further because we have an event for you!

This year at The Summit for a small fee of only $15.00 trainees can attend the ‘From Grad School and Beyond’ Mentorship Breakfast taking place on Wednesday April 24th at 7:00am (before the sessions for the day begin). Students will have the opportunity to sign up in advance for a table they would like to sit at based on the mentor information provided during conference registration. A group of other trainees will also join this table to allow for a dynamic discussion over a wholesome breakfast.

Mentors will include: Researchers (Within and outside of an academic institution including hospitals and industry), Post-Doctoral Fellows, Medical Professionals, Dietitians, Faculty Members, Medical Students and more. All mentors are Obesity Canada members and they will share with you their journey during grad school and beyond. Mentors will share a variety of career options and opportunities following a graduate program.

It can be challenging to sometimes network in an open setting during a conference, but this is your chance to participate in a facilitated networking session, making networking and identifying mentors an easier (and tastier with breakfast) thing to do. If you have any questions about the breakfast please email con.snp@gmail.com

To register, you can do this online during registration for The Summit. Limited tickets will also be available for purchase in person during conference registration.

Get your morning tea/coffee, enjoy a healthy breakfast and build connections. See you in April !
