Obesity Canada is pleased to announce the 2023 Canadian Obesity Research Training taking place at the Canadian Obesity Summit May 14-17 in Whistler, BC. This opportunity is an abbreviated, updated version of our extremely popular Obesity Boot Camps, and promises to be the “can’t miss” event of 2023!

The Canadian Obesity Research Training is open to 15 MSc/PhD students and early career researchers (within 5 years of graduation). Attendees must be attending a Canadian university for their training or be employed at a Canadian research institution. The training will cover all aspects of obesity, ranging from epidemiology and public health to cell biology, energy regulation, clinical management and health policy. The program will consist of 6 hours of in person training during the Canadian Obesity Summit combined with supplemental online components occurring virtually before and after the conference.
