First place is Darcie Valois with “What you need to know about body image”. Darcie recently graduated with a MA in psychology from Carleton University. She is currently examining shared risk factors for eating disorders and obesity, weight bias and positive body image.

Second place is Malcom Snow with “Obesity, it’s time for a change…”. Malcolm is attending Memorial University and is currently examining medication use after laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy.

Third place is Cassie DuGray with “Stop the war on obesity”. Cassie is currently completing her BSc in Human Nutritional Sciences at the University of Manitoba this year and will be starting a dietetic internship in 2020. She is interested in reducing weight bias and stigma in her career as a dietitian.
