Obesity Canada is the only national registered charity working to support millions of Canadians who live with obesity, but we can’t do them justice without your help.

If you or someone you know lives with obesity, you know the struggles associated with it — rampant discrimination, poor access to quality healthcare, reduced quality of life and more.

Here’s what we’re doing about it:

  • New clinical practice guidelines for healthcare professionals, designed with patients in mind and rooted in the best available research — coming in 2020
  • New online platforms to connect healthcare professionals and people living with obesity, so they can learn and share from one another — launching in 2020
  • Patient resources, including a clinic locator, public workshops, and tools to navigate health benefits.
  • Live and digital events for educating healthcare professionals, the public and policy makers about the prevention and treatment of obesity.

We know these are challenging times, but we hope we can count on your financial support as we move these crucial programs forward. Obesity Canada receives no sustainable funding from the government, and relies on project grants and donations from individuals and corporations to survive. Like many charities, our 2020 funding has been severely curtailed by the impacts of COVID-19.
