Role Description

This is a remote role for an Education Coordinator. There are two Education Coordinator positions that will be filled.

As an Education Coordinator, you will be responsible for various day-to-day tasks related to coordinating and facilitating educational programs and initiatives. This includes supporting the design, development and delivery of educational materials and resources, coordinating training sessions, providing support to participants, and supporting the overall educational objectives of the organization.

This position involves pushing the envelope on delivering multiple unique training opportunities in-person, virtually, and hybrid. It is situated in a fast-paced environment where adaptability and innovation are key.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Director of Education to develop educational materials and resources.
  • Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs and initiatives. Some of these activities include facilitating webinars, developing infographics, designing and developing training courses, and designing curricula outlines.
  • Conduct literature reviews, research, and academic writing related to obesity education.
  • Understanding of the gold standard education delivery through accreditation standards from CFPC, Royal College and others as necessary.
  • Engage with diverse stakeholders, including individuals with lived experience, families, and clinicians.
  • Support communication of complex information in clear language for various audiences.
  • Manage projects effectively, adapting to evolving needs and priorities.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Handle multiple concurrent projects under pressure, ensuring timely completion.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • Education and Pedagogy skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and deliver training sessions.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities
  • Post-secondary education in a health-related field.
  • Experience in developing educational materials.
  • Ability to navigate web based programs such as Google Suite, Canva, Doodle Poll, Zoom, and SurveyMonkey
  • Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently and in teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
